Team Breakdowns after 2 Weeks :
Brendan: 0-2 start while averaging under 100 points. Currently sits in 11th place. Mike Evans and Saquon have averaged a combined 37 points per game just from those two. Of Course, Evans played the Bears... We should have a rule like we talked about with the kickers fractional scoring where if a team is playing the Bears, they only get 80% of their fantasy points. It is like a tax for an easy week. His kicker and defense should be really good all season as well. Needs some of his guys to step up to move up the board.
Cirillo: Justin Jefferson is on pace for 160 catches and 2400 yards. He is so good. Dan has been hurt by not having Andrews as well. I think he will get better over time and have a chance to make a run at the playoffs. Like Roschon Johnson as the seaon goes on. I think if he keeps up, Dan has a ton of good players at his disposal to work with. Good draft. Slow burn. 5 or 6 seed coming in hot.
Davies: Davies should be 1-1, but he is 0-2 after opening the season with two loses to Jordan, and Brendan. Davies has scored 181.55 points this season. We will start with the elephant in the room here that he was really counting on Aaron Rodgers to do a ton of damage, but Aaron's Achilles decided to explode. One has to wonder what the long-term value of Garrett Wilson is with Zach Wilson instead of Mr. Darkness Retreat. Good news is that he replaced him with Jared Goff, who after two games is on pace for 4000 yards and 32 TD. James Cook kicked ass in week 2 as well. If the Bills get him going there is going to be a really good offense in Buffalo. Jake had a slow start, but I kind of like his team a ton. Wildcard here is Kamara because if he can come back, and pair him with Mixon, and a good Cook, his WRs are amazing. Dallas Goedert needs to average more than 3 catches for 10 yards a game moving forward. Way to take the Bucs D/ST knowing they had the Bears. I actually wonder what a strategy would be just to tail the bears around all season and not worry about it (Note: It would probably work well) At the end of the day, I see Davies somewhere between 4th and 6th when we wrap the regular season.
Fosco: Mahomes is on pace for 4,200 passing yards and almost 600 rushing yards, which would be insane for his fantasy numbers. I think it may be the best thing for the Chiefs as well because the rest of that offense is suspect. I love Devonta Smith. Unfortunitely, it seems as if Nick Chubb's leg turned inside out. JuJus leg will blow up apart apprently.. I love Zay Flowers. If Pacheco and Kittle turn out to be real good, this team will be great. He is averaging over 100 points per game so he is gonna be hyper competitive.
Jack: Cam Akers. Good guy. Real good guy. Seems like nobody wants him.... Jack is sitting pretty right now at 2-0 with the most points in the league. 243 points. Tyreek Hill is on pace for 2000 yards and 16 TD. If that is the case, we can all kiss it goodbye because he is a shoe in for some money... the play where they push Jalen Hurts in sucks, and I think should be illegal, but if it is, then he is nowhere near as valuable. Do we trust TuTu AtWelL to gain 1600 yards like he is on pace for? Do we? DO WE!? Maybe Jack needs to trade a runningback or two for Travis Kelce?
Jim: Puka "Shells" Nacua may be an early league winner. He should definely play with pooka shells on. Or maybe he should be from Koopa Troopa Beach. Am I high right now? Yes... I think Jim's team is going to go through some growing pains here, but by week 4 or 6 he will be great. I would like to see Cooper Kupp get back. If Geno and DK can get to last years status watch out for ol' Wall...
Jordan : Jordan tried to go 0 RB and it backfired miraculously. He sucks. Let us move on.
K4: I like him to be one of the final 4 standing.
Marco: Justin Fields is a bottom 5 QB in the league, but he is so good in fantasy that Marco will be alright. They will stick with him through thick and thin. Lets fast forward to May -> We have our own and Carolina's first round pick. Legit, we could have pick 2, and 8. We could have 1, and 10. Shit, there is a weird world where we may get like 2 and 6. I think next year is the year. (Marco - I am sorry this got hijacked into a Bears therapy session. DJ Moore goes as the Bears go, which is slow and terrible. Aiyuk had a great week 1, and an average week 2. Marco confuses me, but I think he will need a few weeks to figure it out. He got hurt quick, apparently what is new? I see Marco finishing 5th-8th and he will be tough each week. I think this may be my choice for a top 3 seed to be honest if he keeps it real and his RBs stay healthy.
Mickey: 1-1 with an average of 90 points per game. He is gonna have to do better. Much like Dale's last turn at Daytona... Man, I feel bad even making that joke... Daniel Jones is gonna rush for like 800 yards and 7 TDs and make everything alright. Much like the Hans device... This whole team at this point is about Mattison, Waller, and Pierce. If they are good, then he will sneak in. I LOVE this league. There is not a ton of seperation from the top and the bottom.
Rieger: Love his roster as a whole, but just a ton of really good guys who have performed well, but nobody who has jumped off. Russell Wilson is such a goober. Total goober. Pardon My Take always jokes that Josh Allen plays QB like a guy who just mashes the buttons in Madden and throws to the wrong guy and fumbles a ton, but ends up winning. I agree. He is insanely frustrating, but gets points galore. I like Dan so far. Like him alot (Dumb and Dumber voice). I LOVE Dan when Pitts and Breece Hall get going. He could end up being 6th.
Zach: I have Waddle in my other league, and I have a worry he is gonna just be a 80 yard guy every week and never do enough to win you something. Like at the end of the day, he will be like WR 14 and will be great, but you wont recognize it. You wont. I dare you. You will not. Anyways, I love Herbert, and AJ Brown and Cook should be good enough to keep you in the mix. I will tell you what though, if your D and Kicker average 15 or so a game like they have been, that will be a ton of penicillion for the groin, if ya catch my drift...

Interview with Marco : Each week during Hoff's Hot Takes, we do an interview with a member of the league. We will get to most people throughout the league year. Today we start wtih Marco. Pro Football Reference Fun - I texted a bunch this week about Bears WR yardage leaders ever. It is sad. Let us go through the top 8 of Bears all time WR receiving yards: To my point in the text this week - If DJ Moore plays 4 years for the bears, and averaged 1,110 yards, he will be 7th all time in yards in Bears history. We are sad.
1) Johnny Morris - 5,059 (To put this in perspective - Justin Jefferson in three years has this many yards. He also played entirely in the 50s)
2) Harlon Hill - 4,616 ( He played from 1958-1964)
3) Alshon Jeffery - 4,549 ( He played for the Bears for 5 years and made 1 Pro Bowl. We were here for Alshon, should he be the 3rd best reciever in history of the Bears?)
4) Walter Payton - 4,538 (Some of you may know him as a runningback)
5) Mike Ditka - 4,503 (DA COACH)
6) Curtis Conway - 4,498 The coolest thing we got to a good WR for us 90s kids.
7) Matt Forte - 4,411 ( Like Payton, some of you may know him as a RB)
8) Marty Booker - 3,895 (Kinda Badass... I am not going to talk shit about Marty Booker)
Bench Champ - We are telling everybody who was the bench champ in each week. This is who has the best bench every week. To be honest, who wants to hear about benches though?
Week 1 - Congrats to Brendan, who had 53.98 points on his bench.
Week 2 - Marco had a hell of bench week -> 100.3 point. Marco's bench outscored three teams, and had 3 others within 4 points of it.
King of the Hill - In this lil mini game, we eliminate the person who scored the least each week. If you are eliminated, you score does not count. Person who was eliminated in week 1 was Reiger with 55 points. He is out. There are now 11 people left in the competition. After week 2, we will have ten people left.
Week 1 - Danny Reiger eliminated with 55 points.
Week 2 - Doug Fosco eliminated with 93.03 points.
Still Alive - Mickey, Marco, Jack, Davies, Jordan, Zach, Brendan, K4, Cirillo, and Wally.
Week 3 Preview - Marco vs. Wally, Rieger vs. Brendan, Jordan vs. K4, Davies vs. Caudill, and Zach vs. Mickey, and Cirillo vs. Fosco... I feel good about each person's team so maybe we start this next week. I dont know.
Hoff's Hot Takes Power Rankings - Marco, Jack, K4, Davies, Zach, Fosco, Mickey, Cirillo, Reiger, Jim, Jordan, and Brendan
