Post Bears Reaction and 4 Week Check In

Hello and welcome to Hoff's Hot Takes - Brought to you by the all new 2024 Chevy Silverado, Jet Fuel, and Lagunitas. Today we have a recap of Thursday Night Football, a look ahead to week 5, and much more. At the end of the article, there will be four videos from " Lke A Version". It is a good youtube series from an Australian radio station (shoutout Australian Waffles. Should be the Irish Waffles after your last few weeks)
Post Bears vs. Washington TNF Reaction - God Damn It... Dicky B just died, and not Dickie Betts. I think the Bears will definitely cover +6, and the ML is so tasty.... Alright, per out text convo, we went ML.... DJ Mooooore with an early big play. #Marco... Oh cool, Al Michaels just said Bears let up the 3rd most sacks in the league... TD DJ MOORE #Marco.. Al just said 80% of teams defer the coin toss, but he infers that Matt Eberflus got the ball to be agressive to keep his job.. Sam Howell is a cool guy, kinda like NC State and the logo. These jerseys look like bull shit Steelers jerseys... Remember Tommie Harris? That dude was such a stuffer... LETS GO MOTHER FUCKING DJ MOORE #Marco...Fields had 140 yards in the first quarter, and that is the most yards in a quarter for a Bears QB since Jay Cutler... JESUS CHRIST DJ MOOORE # MARCO...17-3 after a 51 yard field goal. Fuck it - if a FG is over 50 yards you gotta tip your cap... Al has said Kahlil Herbert did "tough running" three times ALREADY, which is a sign you have a bad O Liine... Alright, FG to make it 20-3.... Bears INT!.... Cole MF Kmet. Lets go... 27-3. Halftime... Man, Matt Eberflus is a chode... Alright shit, we are good right?... Alright, well Logan Thomas just scored and cut the lead to 27-11 after a Sam Howell great 2pt conversion. Its fine right?..... BEARS FUMBLE RECOVERY!!!.... Alright, Redskins, I mean Football Team, I mean Commanders FG. We are at 27-14... Justin Fields not having that ball go over his head, and DJ Moore running upfield after may have saved this game. That at least will kill a ton of clock... I forgot to talk about Herbert being hurt. That sucks... Lets go to the 4th! -> FG Bears. 30-14.... Missed FG!!! DJ MOOOOOOOOOOOOORE #Marco. 230 Yards. Have a day. Alright! Okay, so Bears get their first victory of the season, and now we can watch Redzone in peace. We got Vikings, Raiders, Chargers, and Saints coming up. Not the toughest stretch. Do we see 5-4 coming?????
Post Week 4 Team Evaluations
Marco - If Marco was not in first place, he would still be mentioned first because he has a guy names Ronnie Rivers... Marco is 4-0, and is averaging 111 points per game.... Marco has Mahomes, who is on pace for 600 rushing yards by the way. He is also on pace for 4000 yards and 32 TDs. Here is a genuine rule I honestly believe in -> If Mahomes i available, and you do not love anyone that is there, just take Mahomes. I do not care if it is 6th overall, or 60th overall, or 1 overall. Just do it. You probably will just be fine... As I wrote this, DJ Moore just had a big play. 58 yards for the longest completion of the season for Justin Fields... Addison started hot - is cool. Brandon Aiyuk started hot - is cool. I think Evan Engram is the man, and like the Frank Gore or Michael Turner of TEs - just a solid guy who will never be TE1, but will always be top 5-8... He is averaging 24 points from his DST, so if that keeps up, there is no reason he wont win. Final 4 foursure...
Zach - Zach starts off 3-1 averaging over 130 a week.... Zach lapped Davies 180-77 this week to stay up in second place. One can thank Justin Herbert for a hot start for zach. He is QB 2 and on pace for 4500 yards and 35 TD. He is also on pace for another 200-250 in rushing and 8 TD there. He has true real QB1 staying power, and I think he will be this guy for the next 5-8 years. Zach also has Brock Purdy who is cool. Just enjoy his name and story, ya know? Good time for his bye because he broke a finger this week. What is scary is that Waddle has sucked, and he is amazing. When he gets going, I think Zach's team is defintely a Final 4 contender. May still be without Waddle, but if he stays healthy and Waddle gets going ,watch out...
Jordan - Little Engine That Could vibes here... Jordan is 3-1,and averaging a little over 112 points this season. Lamar is being a bully to everyone who plays defense and is on pace for like 3000 passing, 1000 rushing and over 35 TD, about half of them running which is good for Althea. Lamb and Olave are both on pace for about 1300 yards, but like 3 combined TD. If that does not change, the ceiling of Althea goes down quite a bit. I think Montgomery may not have the staying power, he will be good, but not like RB4 good. I see Jordan kind of taking a slide down a bit here, especially if hat RB situation of his keeps being dicey. Kelce being TE6 after missing game one, and only having 155 yards tells you all you need to know about TEs.
Rieger - 3-1 with 102 points averaged. Josh Allen -> 4000 passing with 8 rushing TDs and 38 passing. He will be QB1 this year and lead RIeger to the final 4.... Another erason I think that is Davante Admas doing work all the time. We need to talk about Kyle Pitts -> Dude may be a bust. He is the TE 2 on his own team.... I think Breece Hall will step up and be a force from like week 6 to like week 3 in 2029.... Brian Robinson and Najaee Harris - those guys will decide his fait.
Davies - DHS is 2-2, but is averaging a crazy amount of points... Davies wins if two things happen: Bijan gets hurt, and Tua stays insane in the membrane... Is Mostert the guy? IS Achane the guy?...Can Dallas Goedert catch a damn ball every once in awhile... Garret Wilson needs to stay productive without Rodgers. Kamara and Mixon are his wildcards. I honestly think Davies is a top 4 team moving forward as long as everyone is healthy. Diggs is on pace for 1700 yards and 17 TD.
Jack - Jack moves to 2-2 after losing by 15 to Dan this past matchup. Jack is now averaging 107 points per game. Falcon Punch is a terrific name for a team to start off with. May be my favorite, honestly besides Asshole Idiot. I enjoy that because it is not cute or a pun, just a straight up funny name. No jokes, just asshole idiot lol... Anyways, back to Jack - Jalen Hurts is so nice to have on a team. He will always get an opportunity (or 3) to rush one in real close. He has good weapons to throw to. Very safe... Tyreek is on pace for 1700 yards and 16 TD, which would keep Jack in just about every game moving forward. Jack also has the Cowboys DST , who have three out of four games above 15 fantasy points, including a 27 and a 40 lol.
Cirillo - Cirillo and K4 basically have the same profile here : they are both 2-2 and averaging about 95 points a game.. Cirillo took down Wally to move up the board to 2-2. Justin Jefferson is on the short list of offensive players since 2000 that I can remember who are just all time greats - Randy Moss, LT, Justin Jefferson, Gronk. I think he will eventually be in that group of people if he doesn't get hurt. Jefferson is on pace for like 2100 yards and 12 TD. Rhomandre and Miles (Stevenson and Sanders for the layperson) need to pump their numbers up. Zach Moss has to be one of the picks of the draft so far. Good job Reggie.
K4 - D-Generation Rape, well... got bent over by Asshole Idiot this week. K4 loses to drop to 2-2. K4 is averaging 93 points per game... Huge Bijan fan. He is on pace for like 2000 total yards. He is already a top 3-5 back in the league. I see his numbers getting alot better as the season goes on, as long as they move on from Desmond Ritter, who may be the worst QB in the league. He has had a few good games from Nico Collins, who I think is pretty good too. I believe his kicker from the Eagles is the 37th best player in all of fantasy, so that is intense too. This team should hinge on Goff, Gibbs, and Tee. If those three get moving he could move into the top. Deebo is on pace for 1300 total scrimmage yards.
Mickey - The newlywed is at 2-2, and is averaging a tick under 93 points per game... Johnathan Taylor still has not played, and that was a huge pick for Mickey. Jamaar Chase and Amon Ra St Brown are on pace for like 2500 yards combined. Can Mickey send Jim to 0-5, and move himself to 3-2? CJ Stroud looks good. He may have a good career. Mikcey is on a byenado on weeks 7 and 13, so those two games look weak, but other than those two, he should have his full lineup, and he should be good. Everybody on these podcasts I listen to loves Jalel McCglaughlin or whatever that guys name is for the Broncos, so that could be a stud move for later in the season.
Fosco - Pablo Escobear is at 1-3, but is averaging over 100 points. Close game this weekend in a loss to Mickey. Man, Calvin Ridley had a banger of a first game, and then has not been good since. Maybe he should bet on himself to score. Get some motivation going... Doug has Godwin, Devonta, Ridley, Pacheco, Kyren Williams, and Zay Flowers all on pace for 1000 yards this season. With that depth, he should be heard to beat when the byes start. Pacheco, Devonta, and Kyren are all on bye week 10, and Zay, Kirk, and two bench players are on bye week 13. All other weeks look good for him moving forward. Next three are against Davies, Reiger, and Jordan so a good tough stretch there. If he comes out not decimiated, he could move on up
Jim - Jim is averaging over 100 points this season. Jim is also 0-4. Walker, DK, Geno on bye this week. Swift, Puka, and Conner on pace for a combined like 3500 yards a bunch of TD. Cooper Kupp is coming back, and Puka may take a step back... Jim , its not your fault... ITS NOT YOUR FAULT!
Brendan - Aint nobody messing, with you but you... Things are getting most concerned... Loose with the truth, maybe it's your fire...Baby, don't get burned...There are things you can replace...And others you cannot...The time has come to weigh those things. This space is gettin' hot...You know, this space is gettin' hot...
Pro Football Reference Fun - Today we are going to look at QBs. I made an, albeit informal, list of the best 16 guys of the 2000s who played QB. The stat today is least INT in a three-year stretch. We are looking for the most elite passers who did not throw any picks for a three-year stretch. I also chose years only where they started over 12-13 games. So no chicanery there... We will start with the QB with the most, and build suspense for the end... Remember, these are their BEST three year stretches with the least picks.
10) Carson Palmer (05-07) and Dante Culpepper (02-04) = 45
9) Brett Favre (94-96) and Eli Manning (16-18) = 40
8) Phil Rivers (07-09), Cam Newton (13-15), and Tony Romo (08-11) = 35
7) Big Ben (12-14) = 33
6) Matt Stafford (16-18) = 31
5) Peyton Manning (04-06) = 29
4) Mike Vick (04-06) and Drew Brees (16-18) = 28
3) Russell Wilson (17-19) and Pat Mahomes (18-20) = 23
2) Tom Brady (15-17) = 17
1) Aaron Rodgers (17-19) = 12
Interviews - Today we have a twofer for the people (Shoutout PMT)... We have interviews with BOTH Jack, and Jimmy. Two guys who have had kind of opposite starts to the fantasy season. We are going to start with Jack cause he is further up the table, like Chelsea is Jim and Jack is Liverpool...
