November to Remember
Hello and welcome to Hoff's Hot Takes. I am enjoying a nice MNF game, and some WWE Raw at the moment. Good times. I had about 5 people, most of whom are reading this I assume, send me a WWF post on Instagram. Good call everybody. I also appreciated the Charles Barkley and Clyde Drexler one, Peter. We got our usual stuff going on this week. Shall we start? This week's takes are brought to you by Penny crawling, Birthday Cake, and Northshore University Health Systems. This version of the Takes has more flavor than your Mom's Kool Aid.

Week 10 Recap
Jordan vs. Mike - Jordan had more points from Dalton Schultz, K, and D/ST than he did from Montgomery, Pierce, Waddle, and Olave combined. Daniel Jones had a huge touchdown and that was the difference. Mike also had Chubb fumble and had a few things not go his way. Mike - tighten that coaching up for the playoffs. Jordan moves to 3-7 and Mike moves to 8-2. I am also worried a bit about the 49ers, they suddenly spread the ball around a ton and Kittle aint getting touches. Still think Mike is a title game guy if all goes well.
JB vs. Kyle - John scores the most points in a loss this week. Dang. Bummer. Kyle PItts on the bench outscored Gerald Everett by .5. Man, this is not getting better. We need to get Desmond Ritter in there for some dump offs and runs for Pitts. Mariota has no interest in using him. DJ Moore has 8 points since the trade over from Jordan. McCaffrey and Mahomes are gonna need to be vintage in order for JB to get there. Kyle put up like 120, and guys, I like Kyle. Derrick Henry had 7 pints and he still scored 120. (I meant points, but it would be cool if he had 7 pints and played in an NFL game in an elite way.) This is a big win for Kyle and a big loss for JB.
Joe vs. Micah - Joe steps up to the plate and knocks Micah out by about 45 points. This does not matter at all, but Joe's bench scores 0.8 points. I do not have the time, energy, or mental stamina to go back and look at our league history week by week, but I would assume that 0.8 points is the least amount of points on a bench in league history. CeeDee Lamb will be the X Factor for Joe the next couple weeks. If he is good, I think his other big players will do just fine. Micah had Jeudy go out, and has lost Waller and Hollywood Brown for extended time. We need to get some health for this team, and he will be a force in that first weekend who will be diffucult to knock out.
Beej vs. Nick - Nick gets on the board!!!! (CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES CMON). Nick got a big Johnny Taylor game and got him a W. He even got a zero from Zeke, and he still got over 100. May be time to ditch DK and Lockett and move on with Zeke, JT, and someone else. (Side note- Nick sent his email out about 3 hours after I wrote this). Beej started Kyler Murray who also got a zero, so ya know what guys... You are suspended from being spoke about in Hoff's Hot Takes until next time. I am done here.
Tidwell vs. Nolan - Game of the week. These two teams came into the week a combined 12-6, but in the end, Tidwell gets the best of Nolan by about 13 points. This game is a mini cupcake for the playoffs. A mini cupcake is a mini version of a cupcake, which is already a mini version of a cake. Where does the madness stop with these little cupcakes? And cupcakes are generally trash as it is ... anyways. Justin Fields has 102 points in the last two weeks. That is more than Deebo has all season. More than DJ Moore, and Johnathon Taylor this season as well.
Peter vs. George - George loses to Peter to move to 2-8. Brian Robinson was a beast in the MNF game, and for two fourths, it may be Robinson and Williams for George. George also has LIkely and Kadarius Toney, who will be able to be sold in the offseason or kept. Peter had over 100 with Amon Ra St Brown and Aaron Jones leading the way. Peter need a good Andrews back to get back up the leaderboard. He is behind JB and Kyle by three points, so we need a 3 point week coming here, Petey.
Stats from Week 10 - Christian Watson had more points this week than his whole season combined... Justin Fields is only the 5th QB to have 35 point games back to back. He has back to back games of 50 in our league...Justin Jefferson ties Odell for most 30 point games in their first 40 games... In week 7, CEH played 30% of RB carries. This week, he played 6%... Cooper Kupp has 35% of LA Rams catches this season. Most in the league. He is out for weeks now... Ron Rivera has beat the last two teams to start 8-0... The Atlanta Braves had rookies finish 1-2 in the Rookie of the Year. They will win the World Series in 2023...
Week 11 Preview - Man, Week 11, huh? What a bummer. Can we do a redzone hangout at somebody's place soon? I would host if nessecary, but that will require the most traveling. Would really enjoy some bro time ya know? It is almost over after all. Also, I would like to formally request a trip to the book or the wall or somewhere fun and do a day. Sunday after Thanksgiving would be cool. Or anytime would be cool. Alright - lets get to week 11... GAME OF THE WEEK -> Kyle vs. Micah. Micah is 3 points ahead of Kyle, but Kyle is hot, and needs to keep winning. Give me Kyle...Mike and JB would be the second most important game of the week, as JB is sitting at 7, and Mike having a bit of a fall down the standings. Give me Mike, but make it close... Tidwell or Joe needs three points this week, and both have easier games against Peter, and BJ respectively (or not respectively, what you guys gonna do?)... Look for Jordan to try and take a point from Nolan, but doubt it. Also, George and Nick play each other...For the NFL, games of the week that are important would be Jets/Pats, Cheifs/Chargers, and Cowboys/Vikings. Good Thursday night game too with Packers and Titans
Early NBA Notes - Been watching a ton of NBA, as NBA League Pass is free for me until tonight :( Here are some early thoughts -> Pelicans are really good... What are the Jazz doing?.... Victor from France looks like the real deal, like if KD was 7'4 instead of 6'10. I see his leg being hurt like Chet Holmgren's did this preseason.... Luka Doncic is averaging 35/8/8. Thats MJ stuff... Desmond Bane is going to be the new CJ McCollum or Kris Middleton - a guy who is really good, but wont be an All Star that much... Steph is averaging 5 three pointers made per game. That is on pace for about 420 3's made :) Michael Jordan made 500 in his career. No shade to MJ though obviously, he lead the league in scoring 11 of his 15 seasons lol. One of those was 94-95 when he came back, so that doesnt count. So let's go 11 out of 14. In 85-86 he broke his foot after 20 games and was our for the year. So lets go 11 out of 13.His last two years were with the Wizards. So MJ led the league in scoring every year he played a full season for the bulls. That is insane. At age 39 with the Wiz, Mike averaged 20 points, 6 boards, 4 assists, 1.5 steals, and shot 84% from the line. Insane again. Next week, I will tell you why Mike and Hakeem have the two best seasons that we have seen since we have been alive. Keep posted.
