Hoff's Hot Takes - Week 2 for 3!
Welcome to Hoff's Hot Takes. Today is September 22nd, 2020, it is 8:15, time to stand for the prayer and pledge... Today we have an interview with Joe Gaza, who has one of the WILDEST takes in Hot Takes history. We also have the week two recap, week two in history, random stats from the week, and much much more...
Jordan takes three points with a solid win over Joe. Jordan was lead by Aaron Jones who scored 51 points in that Packers Lions game. Matt Patricia is a terrible coach. Imagine being a Lions fan. Sheesh... He had 3 other guys over 25 points and cruised. Joe now moves to 1-1 with a big matchup next week against Michael who is now 2-0, and always is consistent with Mahomes. Mahomes was pretty bad in that game and he had 35 points. Instead of talking trash about the whooping, I asked Joe to be this week's guest for the Takes.
This week we interview a man who has 1 less playoff win than Shiggy. Joe has been a solid dude since Bush 1's presidency ( can't vouch for his personality during the Reagan years). I asked Joe 5 questions, and we got 5 answers. Shall we?
Question 1: Give me 50 words on airports
Joe: Gotta have a rental car facility ON SITE. Nothing worse than having to take a bus after your flight. Top 3 airports based on food/booze/ease of operations - 3) Palm Beach (has a putting green) 2) Minny (super easy/good food), 1) Austin (has everything, local food options, tons of booze, rental on site, and close to downtown).
Question 2: At what age would Tiger beat you in golf, at what weight would a tiger kill you, and who is your favorite Detroit Tiger of all time?
Joe: After some brief Tiger Woods research, I am going to say he would beat me at 12-13, if we are playing from the same tees. If I'm at the mens and he is up front at some kids tee or something, probably 7-8... I CAN TAKE A TIGER UP TO MY OWN WEIGHT, CALL IT 190 OR SO... Anything after that, I am probably in trouble. I learned that to defend yourself you make a fist and shove it down its throat...I gotta go Justin Verlander. Dude is Nails. Miggy is a close second.
Question 3: How many prime condition Shaquille O'Neals would be able to beat up a Silverback Gorilla?
Joe: 3 prime Shaquille O'Neals.
Question 4: If you could not do your current profession and had to go back to college to choose a new major, what would you choose?
Joe: I would definitely do professional golf management. Try to become a golf pro, or course management or course design. Golf all day. That'd be sweet.
Question 5: Favorite kind of pretzels...

Joe: Lots of good pretzels out there. Nothing wrong with your standard ball park pretzel with nacho cheese... peanut butter filled pretzels, chocolate covered, pretzel sticks...My ideal is a warm bavarian pretzel somewhere in downtown Milwaukee on a snowy day with an assortment of dips. Beer cheese, hearty mustard, horseradish, etc..
Thank you for your time Joseph. See you next weekend for golf. We spoke of Mike up top, so lets go to him and Peter... Mike drops 152 in a beat down of Peter. Mike goes to 2-0, and Peter joins a handful of puds at 1-1. Peter gets Micah next week in a must win game for both. Mike got over 50 points from his Browns running backs, while that probably is not sustainable, he has Dobbins on his bench staying warm. Warm like a nice meatball sub.
George falls to 0-2 with a 35 point loss to Nick. Gurley only had 6 points, but its not like anybody else had a terrible game, just no fireworks for Jorge. Nick is rolling like Limp Bizkit on Ecstacy. Last week I spoke of Barkley and CEH to dominate for years to come last week (oops), this week I gotta mention that Nick will have Taylor and Zeke in 15 and 16 in perpetuity. Nick has a good squad. George is so deep he is going to have a ton of second guesses and huge scores on his bench. Call me when you want to trade James Connor.
Random Stuff - Barkley and McCaffrey both went down. McCaffrey's is not as serious, but JB and Tidwell should be down the next few weeks, so get your wins in now... Raheem Mostert and Cortland Sutton are also done. Sutton tore his ACL, and everything I am reading in this one article (so you know its true) says that Noah Fant should be the big beneficiary #ANF...Cam Akers broke his arm, sorry Beej...Aaron Jones is RB2 since week 7 last season...Gronk has 2 catches for 11 yards so far this season...Jordan had the best week two of all time, while the worst week 2 of all time belongs to Micah with 49 in 2012.
Tidwell put it on Micah this week with a 60 point win, but would he give that win to Micah in exchange for getting Barkley the rest of the season, my sources in Bergen say he would. I liked Tidwell's team, but without Barkley, his RB2 is Peyton Barber? Duke Johnson? No Bueno... JB beats Kyle in a staright forward beat down. Kyle, Lamar only had 17 points this week, I would trade him. JB loses McCaffrey for about a month, so expect to see a lot of Melvin Gordon in that RB1 spot. Nolan gets 33 points from Alvin Kamar and flies past Beej on Monday night for a victory. I know its early in the season and all, but Beej is facing the 2nd most points against already. Time is a flat circle.
