Hoff's Hot Takes - The Last Week

Welcome to Hoff's Hot Takes.  We are entering the last week of the regular season. We have had a wild up and down season, with many twists and turns.  Remember the memories we made along the way.  Those are the real gifts in life.  Today's Takes are brought to you by Chevrolet, Apple, and Raising Canes.  Apologies for last weeks bye week, we had some life stuff get in the way,  but we are back and ready to write a nasty edition of the Takes for the end of the season.  This will be but an abbreviated version of the Takes this week.  To give everybody a heads up - we will be doing a shorter one this week. We will have a playoff preview, and championship game preview edition, and then an offseason look ahead coming up after, so technically, after today, there will only be three more columns until the NFL draft.  Gather ye rosebuds fellas, time is fleeting and Takes are running dry.

Next week we bring back the interviews.  We do a regular season wrap up.  We got consistency ranks.  We got it all.  

Week 14 Preview - Jordan vs Kevin and BJ vs JB are the games of the week.  Those have huge playoff implications in terms of who gets in and in what seeds.  Jordan controls his own destiny, if he gets two points, he is more than likely in, and with three is a lock based on his win-loss record.... Seems as if Kyle and Nick, who are tied at 22 points, should be the one and two seed, getting byes.  Only way that changes is if George gets three points and Kyle gets zero... with a decent week against Tidwell, George should snatch up that three seed... BJ, JB, Kevin, and Jordan are all between 17 and 15 points.  Most likely, we will see both JB and BJ in the playoffs as well as the 4 and 5 seed.  Kevin and Jordan seem to be the only place where there is uncertainty.  Looks like Kyle and Nick will get byes.  George will play Jordan/Kevin, and JB will play BJ.  Fun little playoffs it is shaping up to be.
