This year is going to be wild...
Hello and Welcome to Hoff's Hot Takes. I am writing this as Redzone kicks off, and The Ravens just housed a kick in the first 10 seconds of 7 HOURS OF COMMERCIAL FREE FOOTBALL! Should be a good day... Shit, Panthers just fumbled opening kickoff. I can not keep up. This week we have an interview with Nick, some fun trivia/stats, A This Day in Player Haters Ball History, a Week 2 Recap, and much more. Today's Takes are presented by Topo Chico with Lime, Ticket to Ride, and Europe 72... This year is going to have 3 good teams, about 7 teams in the middle, and 2 bad teams. It is going to be a wild ride. Buckle up buckaroo.

Week 2 Recap - ***BEEJ vs. STONE*** Close game here between two good dudes. This was our closest game of the week with Kyle winning 105-97. Looks like Beej got a good one with Christian Kirk, and he is totally keepable or tradeable for Beej. Gotta be worried about Cam though. If I can peak through my crystal ball, I see Beej selling Murray and Akers, trading Kirk, and starting over with Treylon Burks and Garrett Wilson, who looked great. Kyle has Drake London, which is ironic, it would be like if I picked a guy named Elaine. We know the deal with Kyle's team - he will be about .500 until Derrick Henry gets hot, then he will be hard to beat and possibly sneak into the playoffs. I've seen it 100 times... ***JORDAN vs Nick*** I may rename Josephine Jaylen Waddle Hoffmann. Abby thinks his touchdown dance is stupid, but what does she know, she is a girl... Nick moves to 0-2 and is needing to turn it around in the next week or two or else we could possibly see a sell off. Jordan moves to 1-1 and gets two points for the week befind 75 points combined from Jalen and Jaylen. ***JOE vs TIDWELL*** Tidwell just got a nice consistent week from his runningbacks and Kupp. To be fair, this should be Tidwell every week. If his kicker and D/ST are giving him 25 points, I would venture he would win by 50.2 everyweek. Joe drops to 1-1 ***JB vs PETER*** So, ASB (Amon-ra St Brown, im not typing it out all season) is pretty good man. In a few weeks, you will get the official PHB Dynasty top 10, but D Swift will be in the top 5... JB has Mike Thomas back and he is looking like he hasn't missed the last two seasons. Hoff's Hot Takes reached out to JB for comment on the fact that Kyle Pitts has 40 yards through two games. JB responded " The talent is there, so ya gotta ask whats the issue? Play calling? QB? Both? I am still hopeful for the long game, but I am presently not happy" ***GEORGE vs MICAH*** Micah tried to come back with a vengence like Bruce Willis on Monday night, but fell short. Josh Allen just didnt have 50 points in him. Jerry Jeudy got hurt. Stil like his team for the 'yoffs. George got 50 points from Carson Wentz, and his kicker. Mike Williams has looked good so thats nice for my friend George.***MIKE vs Nolan*** Game of the week here. Both of these teams should be able to finish in the top 4. Nolan ended up having Justin Herbert get banged up, so we may need a backup QB here. Mike has put up some points the first two weeks, and has some reinforcements coming. He also had Kamara out this week, so his squad was a little light, but still put up some points. Good sign for Bowlin Ass Nolan.
Interview with Nick - Nick is the subject of our interview today. Nick was in attendance with myself and many others for Carlos Zambrano's no hitter in Milwaukee in college. Nick also was in attendance with Joe to witness the Cubs win the world series. That is pretty cool. Two of the best Cubs moments of the 21st century. Next week there will be a Best 10 moments of the 20th century section of the Takes. Send your submissions in. Today we learn about Nick's confidence in his punting ability, food taste, and much more...
