Hello and welcome to Hoff's Hot Takes.  We are about halfway through the season.  We are gonna do an abbreviated Takes this week, and go into a big half way review next week where we will break down each teams season so far.  See where we are at.  Check the pulse.  Ya know?

Week 8 Recap -> Jordan scores 130 to beat Mike by 10 points in a good game.  Jaylen Waddle finally comes to life with 25 points, and Alvin Kamara is RB1 since he came back from injury. Mike is still in 5th, and Will Levis remembered that DeAndre Hopkins is good - Hopkins had 42 points.  If Mike started Kareem Hunt over Zeke, he would have won... Many people said Joe vs JB was the game of the week, however Joe opened up a can of Forte proof Whoop Ass on JB, winning by about 40 and scoring 163 points.  Compact Disc Lamb scored 38 points to lead Joe.  JB did pretty well this week scoring 126.  Etienne and Dak also scored 30 a piece for Joe.  JB had Josh Allen and CMC combine for about 60, but other than that, nothing spectacular... Rill beats Tidwell by about 25 to move to 5-3, and dropping Tidwell to 4-4.  All but three players in this game scored between 6.6 and 27 points.  Nothing crazy to write home about. I see Nick finishing the season as team #1, getting that Bye $$$ and a week to chill...  Kyle loses to the Apostles, and both their records are now 3-5.  Jahmyr Gibbs coming out party this week, as he scored 30.  Brock does not look like he once did, and neither does Derrick Henry, but they both put up 17 and 23 points respectively.  This game should have been worse as Lamar did not run, and only had 11 points... Beej drops to 1-7 with a loss to Micah.  Micah moves to 5-3.  AJ Brown seems like a guaranteed 17-22 points every week, and is probably the second best WR in the NFL.  Micah needs a lot of Cortland Sutton to be good.  I see a Jordan and Micah matchup in the first round, as well as a JB and Mike matchup with Joe and Nick on bye... Look at George sitting at .500 after 8 games.  Gotta be happy with that result after going basically rookie only in the draft.  Nolan's new team is Johnny Sad Chow, and it is getting sad over there.  Both their benches had a player score negative points who was a runningback.  I really do not know why Nolan has the record he does.  His team is not bad, and has some surprise players.  Does a Justin Herbert trade come if a QB goes down?

0 and Negative Watch - Beej is dominant in this category.  He started the Colts D for -4.  Apostles start Eagles D for -1.

BJ - 5

Mike, Nolan, Joe -2

Jordan, George, Apostles, Nick, Micah, Kyle-1

Best Scores: We are going to do a running tally of a perfect lineup for each week, and for the season as a hole. What player had the best performance each week at each position? What player had the best score for a single week for the length of the regular season. This week, we are going to obviously only have week 1 scores, but moving forward we will have it updated to reflect league long good games. THE ONE RULE IS THEY HAVE HAD TO BE STARTED DURING THEIR WEEK. For example, Steve Tidwell had Tua on his bench score 32 week 1to lead all QBs, but that does not count because he was on the bench...

QB: Josh Allen (Week 4 JB) - 44.5 points

RB: Raheem Mostert (Week 3 JB) - 41.7 points

RB: Christian McCaffrey (Week 4 JB) - 48.2 points

WR: DJ Moore (Week 5 Kyle) - 55 Points

WR: Jamar Chase (Week 5 George) - 52.7 Points

TE: Travis Kelce (Week 7 JB) - 32.9 Points

D/ST: Cowboys (Week 1 Joe) - 42 Points

K: Dustin Hopkins (Week 7 Joe) - 22 Points

Bench Champ - We are telling everybody who was the bench champ in each week. This is who has the best bench every week. To be honest, who wants to hear about benches though?

Week 1 - Tidwell - 73

Week 2 - Nick 95.20

Week 3 - George 80.7 (59 from Devon Achane)

Week 4 - JB with 58.9

Week 5 - Kyle with 98.08

Week 6 - JB with 73.02

Week 7 - Nick with 97

Week 8 - Nick with 90

King of the Hill - To recap, George, Nick, Jordan, Beej, Nolan, JB, and Kyle have been eliminated the first seven weeks weeks. In week 8, we eliminated Tidwell with 105 points...Apostoles, Micah, Mike, and  Joe are our Final 4 (TM)
